Mode III Stress Singularity Analysis of Isotropic and Orthotropic Bi-material near the Interface End

چکیده
The stress singularity near the Mode III interface end of isotropic and orthotropic bi-material was studied. Based on arbitrary angle boundary conditions, by solving a class of harmonic equations we discussed the root of the characteristic equation with the help of complex function method of material fracture. The expression and variation of the singularity index λ of the tip of interfacial crack and the symmetric interface end is obtained as well. The analytical expressions of the stress and displacements fields and the stress intensity factor around the interfacial crack are derived.

Oscillatory Singularity Behaviors Near Interface Crack Tip for Mode II of Orthotropic Bimaterial
The fracture behaviors near the interface crack tip for mode II of orthotropic bimaterial are discussed. The oscillatory singularity fields are researched. The stress functions are chosen which contain twelve undetermined coefficients and an unknown singularity exponent. Based on the boundary conditions and linear independence, the system of twelve nonhomogeneous linear equations is derived. Ac...
متن کاملAnalysis of Multiple Yoffe-type Moving Cracks in an Orthotropic Half-Plane under Mixed Mode Loading Condition
The present paper deals with the mixed mode fracture analysis of a weakened orthotropic half-plane with multiple cracks propagation. The orthotropic half-plane contains Volterra type glide and climb edge dislocations. It is assumed that the medium is under in-plane loading conditions. The distributed dislocation technique is used to obtain integral equations for the dynamic problem of multiple ...

In this paper, the interface crack of two non-homogenous functionally graded materials is studied. Subsequently, with employing the displacement method for fracture of mixed-mode stress intensity factors, the continuous variation of material properties are calculated. In this investigation, the displacements are derived with employing of the functional graded material programming and analysis o...
متن کاملElement free Galerkin method for crack analysis of orthotropic plates
A new approach for analyzing cracked problems in 2D orthotropic materials using the well-known element free Galerkin method and orthotropic enrichment functions is proposed. The element free Galerkin method is a meshfree method which enables discontinuous problems to be modeled efficiently. In this study, element free Galerkin is extrinsically enriched by the recently developed crack-tip orthot...
متن کاملAnalysis of Mode III Fraction in Functionally Graded Plate with Linearly Varying Properties
A model is provided for crack problem in a functionally graded semi-infinite plate under an anti-plane load. The characteristic of material behavior is assumed to change in a linear manner along the plate length. Also the embedded crack is placed in the direction of the material change. The problem is solved using two separate techniques. Primary, by applying Laplace and Fourier transformation,...
